Day #23 - "Picture Day" (Augusta, Ga)

Sunday April 25th

It’s Sunday afternoon. I’ve been at West Acres Baptist Church this morning and reconnected with our friends there. Terry gave me some inside scoop about Tiger Woods being at The Masters in Augusta just recently. Of course, it was a bit of the talk of the town.

Well, I have a bit of time this afternoon to do today’s blog. I’ll be at the church service tonight. But I thought of “Picture Day” for today’s blog. Here are a few highlights of the last few days:

The croc of yesterday:

At Jay’s Church in Viera, they just build a “Coffee Bar”. Every coffee they sell goes to their Compassion Child in Haiti. Yes – they are involved with Compassion International.

I thought that would grab your attention Sequoia Church because of our involvement with Compassion in Dominican Republic. Maybe an an idea for our future "coffee shop"! I told Jay we had sponsored over 80 kids in one project and helped them build their facility. He was pretty stoked about that!

Also at their church: pictures of their Kids Ministry area just to make us dream at Sequoia. One day we will have a church facility with these kinds of amenities!

I have a really big week in Georgia. So please pray for me for at least 3-4 very key meetings.

And then I will finish off my Luke 11 ASK One-Month Road Trip back in Alabama.

I should start driving back to Ottawa next Sunday night or first thing Monday morning. Can’t wait to be back home to my family by Tuesday May 4th. (PS: that other guy in the family is Phil - like kind of our "adopted son")
