Easter Sunday April 4th
So I did get up at 0500, got ready and drove to my first destination. I wanted to make Cincinnati Ohio my first stop! Why? Well I thought I could drive it in one day. But I wanted to check out this church called Montgomery Community Church. No – not the Montgomery of FBC in Alabama – but here in Cincinnati Ohio. And already my 2nd sign? Well the title of the message was “A New Day Dawning”. Yes I know it’s about Jesus and the reality of what it means to experience His resurrection in our lives. Coming to Christ in a personal day is indeed “A New Day Dawning”. But it could have been many other sermon titles. This one means something a bit different to me considering this road trip I am doing and for sure the outcome will be “A New Day Dawning” one way or another!
Even the sermon points were timely (or too coincidental?):
o You don’t have to be afraid!
o You are not traveling alone!
o He’s not dead, He’s alive so live life to the fullest!
I mean is that all too coincidental, even like right now, the song that just started playing on the Christian radio station here in Montgomery Cincinnati is that song from Britt Nicole, “Walk on Water”. If you haven’t checked out those lyrics yet, please stop right now and Google them! “Lord you know my prayer, You know I am totally trying to live out that song”!
Well sign #3 – there’s a Starbucks near the church? Just kidding – well about that being a sign that is. Actually it’s near a Panera Bread – one of my favorite soup & sandwich and wi-fi place to stop by while travelling in the USA.
That’s it for today. The weather has been beautiful. Oh BTW: I am parked in the parking lot of the church – so it’s all safe and free!
